GPD A/C Evaporator Temperature Sensor

The GPD A/C Evaporator Temperature Sensor (also called an A/C evaporator temp sensor or evaporator thermistor) is a replacement HVAC part. It monitors the temperature of the evaporator core, or the air leaving it, and reports that reading to the climate control system.

Key Features:

• Works as a thermistor. Its electrical resistance changes with temperature, so the control module can track evaporator temperature.
• Helps the system cycle the compressor to keep the evaporator just above freezing. This helps prevent ice from forming on the evaporator and blocking airflow.
• Designed as a direct-fit replacement component that matches OE function.
• Available under individual part numbers to match different applications.

A faulty evaporator temperature sensor can lead to erratic A/C cooling or rapid compressor cycling. Replacing it helps restore consistent cooling performance and reliable climate control operation.
