Wells EGR Valve Temperature Sensor

The Wells EGR Valve Temperature Sensor (also called an exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor or EGR temp sensor) is a replacement part for the EGR system. It measures the temperature of the gas flowing through the EGR system. It sends that reading to the engine control module. The module uses it to judge how the EGR system is working.

Key Features:

• Monitors EGR system operation and helps detect a possible EGR valve fault or a blockage in the system
• Sends temperature data to the engine control module for EGR control
• Designed to meet or exceed OE specifications for fit, form and function
• Made by Wells Vehicle Electronics, a long-established name in vehicle electronics and emissions components
• Mounts under the hood, near the EGR valve

Signs the sensor may need replacing:

• Pinging or knocking
• Increased emissions or a failed emissions test
• Check engine light is on

A working EGR temperature sensor helps keep emissions under control and the engine running properly. Choose the part number that matches your application.
