Product Details

COMP Cams Hi-Tech Oil Restricting Pushrods are performance engine push rods (also called pushrods) that limit oil flow to the top end of the valvetrain. Standard Hi-Tech pushrods have 0.100" oil holes. These have 0.050" oil holes, which is half that size. They suit street performance and racing builds.

Key Features:

Restricted oil holes: 0.050" openings limit the oil sent to the rocker arms and valve springs.
One-piece 4130 chromemoly construction: heat-treated steel for strength and durability.
.080" wall thickness: built to resist flex under load.
60 Rockwell hardness: stands up to high valvetrain loads.
Clear labeling: length and diameter are marked on each pushrod, so they are easy to identify.
Guide plate compatible: works with guide plate setups.

Restricting oil with the pushrods is commonly done in certain hydraulic flat tappet racing applications. In those engines, too much oil can reach the top end and starve the bottom end bearings and cylinder walls. COMP Cams' Hi-Tech pushrod research focuses on matching pushrod stiffness to the rest of the valvetrain and to the engine's operating RPM.
