The Four Seasons Thermal Engine Cooling Fan Clutch (also called a thermal fan clutch or radiator fan clutch) controls how the engine cooling fan runs based on engine temperature. It helps the engine reach operating temperature quickly and keeps it within a safe range.

Key Features:

  • Thermostatic design: the clutch engages the fan more firmly as air temperature behind the radiator rises, and lets it freewheel when the engine is cool.
  • Helps cooling performance: more airflow is available under heavy load, in traffic, or in hot weather.
  • Reduces parasitic drag: a fan that freewheels when cooling isn't needed can help lower engine noise and wasted power.
  • Replaces a worn clutch: a failed fan clutch can cause overheating, poor air conditioning performance, or excessive fan noise.
  • Made by Four Seasons, an established name in engine cooling and climate control parts.
