ACL Bearings Standard Main Bearing Set Aluglide

The ACL Bearings Aluglide main bearing set is a lead-free engine crankshaft main bearing. It is a replacement for engine rebuilds and general-purpose, OE-style applications. ACL makes it from an aluminum-tin-silicon alloy, a modern bearing material that suits passenger cars and light commercial engines.

Key Features:

• Aluminum-tin-silicon alloy: Adding silicon to the aluminum-tin family gives a stronger, newer-generation bearing material without lead.
• Lead-free construction: This is the same type of material many OE manufacturers now use.
• Wear resistance: The harder alloy surface reduces wear and limits shaft abrasion, which supports a longer service life.
• Strong bonding: The aluminum bond layer attaches firmly to the steel backing, so the bearing holds up under sustained load.
• Strip-cast microstructure: Alloying elements and careful heat treatment produce this structure.
• OE-quality standard: The bearings are designed to meet or exceed original equipment quality.
• Made by ACL: ACL Bearing Company develops and manufactures these bearings in Australia, and ACL is an OE supplier.

Aluglide bearings suit stock-style rebuilds and daily-driven engines. Choose a Duraglide or Race Series tri-metal bearing for high-load or high-horsepower builds. Pair the main bearings with matching rod bearings and thrust washers for a complete engine bearing refresh.
