DENSO Camshaft Position Sensor

The DENSO Camshaft Position Sensor (also known as a cam position sensor or CMP sensor) monitors the position and rotational speed of the camshaft. It sends this signal to the engine control module (ECM). The ECM uses the signal to time fuel injection and ignition accurately, which supports smooth running, efficient fuel use, and reliable starting.

Key Features:

• Made by DENSO, a leading original equipment supplier to automakers worldwide
• Designed to match the form, fit, and function of the original sensor
• Provides a precise signal to the engine computer for accurate engine timing
• Built to hold up to engine heat, vibration, and exposure to oil
• Helps restore normal performance when the original sensor has failed

Why Replace It: A worn or failing camshaft position sensor can cause hard starting, stalling, rough idle, hesitation, reduced fuel economy, or a check engine light. Replacing it with a quality DENSO sensor helps restore proper engine management and drivability.
