Dorman Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor

The Dorman Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor (also called a crank position sensor, CKP sensor or crankshaft speed sensor) monitors the rotational speed and position of the crankshaft. It sends this signal to the engine control module (ECM/PCM). The module uses the data to time ignition spark and fuel injection accurately.

Key Features:

• Replacement sensor that restores the crankshaft signal to the engine computer
• Helps support smooth starting, steady idle and consistent engine performance
• Designed to match the form, fit and function of the original part it replaces
• Built to hold up to engine heat, vibration and oil exposure
• Many applications include the connector or pigtail for easier installation

A failing crankshaft position sensor can cause hard starting, a no-start condition, stalling, rough running, misfires or a check engine light. Replacing it can bring back reliable engine operation. Dorman is a long-established aftermarket brand known for OE-style replacement parts. Select the child item that matches your application for the correct sensor.
