Standard Motor Products A/C Ambient Air Temperature Sensor

The Standard Motor Products A/C Ambient Air Temperature Sensor, also called an outside air temperature sensor or ambient temperature sensor, measures the temperature of the air outside the vehicle. It sends that reading to the climate control system and, on many applications, to the instrument cluster or driver display.

Key Features:

• Gives the HVAC system accurate outside air temperature data so it can regulate cabin comfort
• Helps the automatic climate control system make correct adjustments
• Built as a replacement part that matches the form, fit and function of the original sensor
• Quality-tested by Standard Motor Products, a long-established supplier of engine management and temperature control parts
• Designed for reliable performance across a wide range of operating temperatures and road conditions

A failing ambient air temperature sensor can cause an inaccurate outside temperature display, erratic automatic climate control behavior, or A/C and heater performance problems. Replacing it restores correct temperature readings and consistent climate control operation.
