Febi Coolant Temperature Sensor

The Febi coolant temperature sensor (also called an engine coolant temperature sensor, ECT sensor, or coolant temp sensor) monitors the temperature of the engine coolant. It sends that data to the engine control unit. The ECU uses the signal to manage fuel injection, ignition timing, idle speed, and cooling fan operation. It also uses the signal for the dashboard temperature gauge on many applications.

Key Features:

• Gives the engine management system accurate coolant temperature readings
• Supports smooth cold starts, efficient fuel delivery, and stable engine operation
• Helps protect the engine by letting the ECU react to overheating conditions
• Made to meet the quality standards expected of an OE-equivalent replacement part
• Each part is manufactured and tested to fit and perform as designed

A faulty coolant temperature sensor can cause hard starting, poor fuel economy, rough idle, black smoke, cooling fan problems, or a check engine light. Replacing a worn or failing sensor with a Febi part restores correct engine management and dependable performance.
