Gates PCV Valve Crankcase Vent Valve

The Gates PCV valve, also called a crankcase vent valve or positive crankcase ventilation valve, is part of the engine's emission control system. It regulates the flow of blow-by gases from the crankcase back into the intake so they are burned in the combustion chamber instead of being released into the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• Meters crankcase vapors to help control emissions and keep crankcase pressure balanced
• Helps reduce sludge and oil contamination by clearing moisture and combustion by-products from the crankcase
• Helps prevent oil leaks and seal damage caused by excess crankcase pressure
• Supports smooth idle and consistent engine performance
• Built by Gates, a well-known name in engine and belt drive components, to meet OE-style fit and function

A PCV valve that is working properly protects engine life and helps the engine run cleanly. Replacing it at the intervals the vehicle manufacturer recommends is a simple, low-cost maintenance step. Choose the specific part number that matches your application from the options listed on this page.
