Manley Platinum Series Lightweight Forged Piston

The Manley Platinum Series Lightweight Forged Piston line gives engine builders a forged racing piston for high-horsepower and boosted builds. Manley machines each piston from 2618 high-strength alloy forgings. The design is light, yet strong enough to handle the heat and stress of turbocharged, supercharged and other high-output engines.

Key Features:

• 2618 alloy forging for high-temperature strength and fatigue resistance
• Contour forgings balance strength and weight without internal milling that interrupts the grain
• Multi-step top ring groove machining controls groove size, geometry, flatness and finish
• One-fixturing final turning keeps the ring grooves square to the skirt, so the rings seal squarely to the cylinder wall
• Form-Scan gauging checks skirt indexing to the pinhole and skirt-to-skirt polarity
• Pressure balance groove is included on every piston in the series
• Offset wrist pin design helps keep cold starts quiet
• Moly-coated skirts on select part numbers reduce friction
• Valve clearance accommodates +1mm oversize valves on most applications
• Wrist pins and round wire locks are included with the piston on most part numbers

Manley is a long-standing maker of performance engine components. Platinum Series pistons suit street performance, sport compact and racing builds that need a reliable forged piston. Bore size, compression ratio, compression height, dome or dish configuration and wrist pin specification vary by part number, so choose the option that matches your engine build.
