VEMO Air Conditioning Expansion Valve

The VEMO air conditioning expansion valve (also called an A/C expansion valve or thermostatic expansion valve, TXV) regulates how much liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator. This control keeps cooling performance consistent and helps the A/C system run efficiently under varying loads and temperatures.

Key Features:

• Meters refrigerant flow into the evaporator to support stable cabin cooling
• Designed as a replacement part that matches the form, fit and function of the original component
• Built from materials suited to the pressures and temperature changes of an automotive A/C circuit
• Part of the VEMO range of replacement parts, developed under the Quality Parts program from the MEYLE/Vemo group

A worn, clogged or sticking expansion valve can cause weak cooling, uneven evaporator temperatures or A/C system icing. Replacing it restores proper refrigerant metering. When replacing it, also consider replacing the receiver drier or accumulator and evacuating and recharging the system to the manufacturer's specifications.
