Facet Knock Sensor

The Facet Knock Sensor (also called a detonation sensor or engine knock sensor) monitors engine vibration and reports it to the engine control module. When the sensor detects the vibration pattern of pre-ignition or detonation, the ECM can retard ignition timing to help protect the engine from damage. Facet is an established supplier of aftermarket ignition, fuel and engine management components.

Key Features:

• Detects engine knock and sends a signal to the ECM so it can adjust ignition timing
• Helps protect pistons, rings, bearings and cylinder heads from detonation damage
• Helps maintain smooth engine performance and fuel efficiency
• Replaces a failed sensor, which can cause a check engine light, reduced power or poor fuel economy
• Built for dependable, long-lasting operation under engine heat and vibration
