PRT Complete Strut Coil Spring Assembly

The PRT Complete Strut and Coil Spring Assembly (also called a loaded strut, quick strut or complete strut assembly) is a pre-assembled suspension unit. It combines the strut, coil spring and related components in one ready-to-install module. It is intended to restore the original ride, handling and stability of the vehicle.

Key Features:

• Pre-assembled design: The strut, coil spring, dust cover and spring seat come assembled as one unit. Many applications also include a bearing plate or top mount. PRT says this can cut repair time substantially compared with replacing the parts one at a time.
• Coil spring: Made from high-grade carbon steel. It is heat treated, stress relieved, fully cycled and salt-spray tested.
• Spring isolator: Helps prevent metal-to-metal contact and reduces noise between the spring and spring seat, where applicable.
• Outer tube: Offers long-lasting corrosion and rust protection.
• Chromed piston rod: The finish supports proper seal lubrication and a consistent wear surface, and it resists corrosion.
• Top mount and bearing: Where applicable, the assembly has a rubber-and-steel top mount. It also has an OE-quality bearing with low starting torque for smooth steering.

Because the spring is already mounted on the strut, installation generally does not require a spring compressor. That makes it a convenient option for replacing worn struts and restoring ride comfort and control. Components and configuration vary by part number, so refer to the individual item listings for specific details.
