Replacement Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

The Replacement Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (also called an ECT sensor, coolant temp sensor, or engine temperature sensor) monitors the temperature of the coolant circulating through your engine. It sends this reading to the engine control module (ECM/PCM) as an electrical signal.

Key Features:

• Measures engine coolant temperature and reports it to the engine computer
• Helps the ECM adjust fuel mixture, idle speed, ignition timing, and cooling fan operation
• Supports cold-start enrichment, smooth warm-up, and efficient fuel economy
• Temperature-sensitive thermistor element designed to give a consistent signal across the operating range
• Direct-fit replacement design for straightforward installation

A failing coolant temperature sensor can cause hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy, black smoke, overheating, a cooling fan that runs incorrectly, or a check engine light. Replacing a worn or faulty sensor helps restore proper engine management and drivability. Choose the specific part number that matches your application.
