ACDelco Throttle Position Sensor TPS

The ACDelco Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) monitors the position of the throttle plate and sends that information to the engine control module (ECM/PCM). The module uses this signal to manage fuel delivery, ignition timing, idle control and transmission shift points. It is also commonly called a throttle position switch or throttle sensor.

Key Features:

• Provides accurate throttle angle signals to the engine computer for smooth, responsive engine operation
• Helps maintain proper air-fuel mixture, idle quality and shift timing
• Built to meet ACDelco's quality standards for fit, form and function
• Direct-replacement design makes installation straightforward and keeps the factory-style connector and mounting
• Helps restore performance and fuel economy when the original sensor has worn or failed

A failing throttle position sensor can cause symptoms such as rough or erratic idle, hesitation on acceleration, poor fuel economy, unexpected transmission shifting or an illuminated check engine light. Replacing it with an ACDelco sensor helps restore proper throttle response and drivability. ACDelco is General Motors' parts brand, known for dependable replacement components.
