Dorman Pre-Converter Catalytic Converter CARB Compliant

The Dorman Pre-Converter Catalytic Converter line is a CARB-compliant emissions control replacement. It is also called a pre-cat or front catalytic converter. It sits upstream in the exhaust system, close to the engine, and works with the main catalytic converter to reduce harmful exhaust emissions.

Key Features:

• CARB compliant: Built to meet California Air Resources Board emissions requirements, so it can be used in states that follow CARB standards.
• Pre-converter design: Heats up quickly to start treating exhaust gases early, which helps lower emissions during cold starts.
• Catalyst substrate: Uses a catalyst-coated substrate to help convert hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides into less harmful compounds.
• Durable construction: Uses a heat- and corrosion-resistant housing made for the demands of exhaust service.
• Direct-fit replacement: Engineered to replace the original pre-converter and simplify installation.
