Dorman Vapor Canister Purge Valve Evaporative Emissions Solenoid

The Dorman vapor canister purge valve, also called an EVAP purge solenoid or evaporative emissions purge control valve, is a replacement part for the vehicle's evaporative emissions control system. It controls how fuel vapors stored in the charcoal canister are drawn into the engine intake to be burned. This keeps the vapors out of the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• Electrically actuated solenoid opens and closes on command from the engine control module to meter vapor flow
• Replaces a worn or stuck purge valve that can cause EVAP system faults
• Helps restore proper evaporative emissions operation and fuel vapor management
• Designed as a direct-fit replacement so installation is typically simple
• Backed by Dorman's reputation as a leading supplier of aftermarket replacement parts

Why Replace It: A failing purge valve can cause a check engine light, EVAP-related trouble codes, rough idle, hard starting after refueling, or a failed emissions test. Replacing it helps return the system to normal operation.
