COMP Cams PTFE valve stem seals (also called positive stop valve seals or valve stem oil seals) help keep unwanted oil from entering the combustion chamber through the clearance in the valve guides. They are an upgrade over factory-style O-ring seals for performance and racing engines.

Key Features:

  • PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) construction gives a positive-stop seal that attaches to the valve guide. Factory-style O-ring seals ride on the valve instead.
  • Compact outside diameter. It is smaller than COMP Cams umbrella seals, so there is more clearance for performance dual and beehive valve springs.
  • Better sealing than O-ring or umbrella seals in high-performance applications.
  • Made in the USA by COMP Cams, a respected name in performance valvetrain components.

Installation Note: Unlike O-ring and umbrella seals, PTFE seals normally need the cylinder heads disassembled and the top of the valve guide machined with a special cutter. Professional machine work is recommended.

These seals suit performance builds that need reliable oil control and extra spring clearance.
