Gates DriveAlign Premium OE Automatic Belt Tensioner Assembly

The Gates DriveAlign Premium OE Automatic Belt Tensioner Assembly is a drive belt tensioner built to keep the serpentine or accessory drive belt at the correct tension. Correct tension helps the belt drive the alternator, power steering pump, water pump and A/C compressor reliably. It is also known as an automatic tensioner, belt tensioner or serpentine belt tensioner.

Key Features:

• Premium OE-style design made to match the form, fit and function of the original equipment tensioner
• Automatic spring-loaded mechanism that applies steady tension as the belt wears and stretches
• Built-in damping that helps limit belt flutter and vibration during operation
• Pulley and bearing assembly designed for smooth, quiet rotation and long service life
• Complete assembly for straightforward replacement of a worn or noisy tensioner

Gates is a well-known manufacturer of belts, hoses and drive system components, and supplies many original equipment makers. A worn tensioner can cause belt squeal, premature belt wear, accessory problems or belt failure. Replace it together with the drive belt for best results.
