DBA En-Shield Heat-Treated Brake Rotor

DBA En-Shield heat-treated brake rotors are Street Series disc brake rotors made as direct OE-style replacements. They resist rust and corrosion for the life of the rotor. The En-Shield process puts a zinc/aluminium, water-based coating on the rotor and bakes it on. This keeps the rotors looking good in service and means less cleaning before installation.

Key Features:

• En-Shield coating: A chromium-free, water-based zinc/aluminium coating protects the rotor from rust and corrosion. It is formulated so it does not contaminate the brake pad surface.
• High-carbon cast iron: DBA's own high-carbon alloy gives strength and thermal stability. It also resists warping from heat.
• Kangaroo Paw ventilation: The vane design improves heat dissipation, which helps braking stay effective and helps brake life.
• CBN machine-turned finish: Cubic Boron Nitride machining keeps disc thickness variation low. This reduces pad knock and premature wear.
• Scorched friction surfaces: The scorching process removes leftover resins from production. This shortens bedding-in and helps prevent pad contamination.
• Quiet, responsive braking: Some variants have slots and/or chamfered drill holes that let friction dust and gases escape. Not every variant has all features.
