Egelhof A/C Expansion Valve

The Egelhof A/C expansion valve is a refrigerant metering component for automotive air conditioning systems. Also called a thermal expansion valve (TXV) or AC expansion valve, it controls how much refrigerant flows into the evaporator. This helps the system cool efficiently and keeps evaporator temperatures stable.

Key Features:

• Regulates refrigerant flow to the evaporator for consistent cooling performance
• Helps protect the compressor by supporting proper superheat control
• Made as a direct-replacement part for original equipment expansion valves
• Built from corrosion-resistant materials for long service life in demanding under-hood and in-cabin conditions
• Produced by Egelhof, a European supplier of A/C and thermal management components

Replacing a worn or clogged expansion valve can restore cooling performance and fix problems such as weak airflow temperature, evaporator icing, or uneven cooling. For best results, replace the receiver drier or accumulator, flush the system, and use the correct refrigerant and oil when installing a new valve.
