Modine Manual Reset High Limit Switch

The Modine manual reset high limit switch (also called a manual reset limit control or overheat safety switch) is a replacement safety component for Modine gas-fired unit heaters and related HVAC equipment. It monitors temperature and opens the control circuit if the unit overheats. This shuts off the gas valve or ignition control and helps protect the heat exchanger and the rest of the heater.

Key Features:

• Manual reset operation: After a trip, the switch stays open until a technician checks the unit and resets it. This makes sure the cause of the overheating is found and fixed before the heater runs again.
• Safety shutoff: The switch opens the control circuit when its temperature limit is exceeded. This cuts off gas or ignition and prevents unsafe operating conditions.
• OEM replacement part: Made by Modine for use in Modine unit heaters and for compatibility with their controls.
• Durable construction: Built for the repeated heating and cooling cycles typical of commercial and industrial heating applications.

Common causes of a tripped manual reset limit are restricted airflow, a dirty filter, a failing blower, or a blocked vent. Replace the switch if it no longer resets or functions properly. Choose the variant that matches the temperature rating and part number your heater requires.
