Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT Performance Tire

The Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT is a max performance summer tire (also called an ultra high performance or UHP tire). It is built for sports cars, powerful coupes and high-performance sedans. It is designed to give drivers responsive handling, clear steering feedback and a balance of wet and dry traction in warm-weather driving.

Key Features:

• Multi-Radius Tread Technology: helps deliver handling and grip on both wet and dry roads.
• Flatter tread profile: enlarges the contact patch to improve cornering stability and steering response.
• Asymmetric tread pattern: balances dry and wet performance.
• Reinforced sidewall construction: reduces lateral flex in corners, so the driver gets a better feel for the road.
• Unique bead fit system: improves force transmission between the tire and wheel for better driver feedback.
• Hybrid Jointless Band (JLB) Technology: helps the tire hold its shape for smooth high-speed performance. It also helps reduce flatspotting after the vehicle has been parked for long periods.
• Performance tread compound: uses carbon black technology from Dunlop Motorsport for traction and ride quality.
• Non-directional tread: allows rotation, including on the staggered fitments common to performance vehicles, which promotes long tread life.

As a summer tire, the SP Sport Maxx GT is intended for warm conditions. It is not designed for near-freezing temperatures, snow or ice. Select sizes and variants may add features such as Noise Shield Technology or run-flat construction.
