Danfoss TES Thermostatic Expansion Valve Element

The Danfoss TES thermostatic expansion valve element (also called a thermostatic element, power element or TXV element) is the replaceable control head of a Danfoss thermostatic expansion valve. It meters liquid refrigerant into the evaporator in refrigeration and air conditioning systems that use fluorinated refrigerants. It senses refrigerant superheat through its capillary tube and bulb. It then adjusts refrigerant flow to match the cooling load.

Key Features:

• Part of the Danfoss thermostatic expansion valve parts program, so the element can be paired with a range of valve bodies and orifice assemblies
• Stainless steel power element, capillary tube and bulb on the TE/TES 5 series elements
• Laser-welded power element construction for long service life
• Patented bulb strap design for secure sensor mounting
• Available in versions with or without a MOP (maximum operating pressure) function
• Charge options for different refrigerants and evaporating temperature ranges
• External pressure equalization for accurate control when there is a pressure drop across the evaporator

Replacing only the element lets you restore valve performance or change the charge and range, without replacing the whole valve body. Danfoss is a globally recognized manufacturer of HVAC and refrigeration controls. Choose the individual part number that matches your refrigerant, temperature range and valve series.
