Nexen Winguard Ice SUV Studless Winter Tire

The Nexen Winguard Ice SUV is a studless winter tire (also called a snow tire or Nordic winter tire) for SUVs and crossovers. It is built for traction on snow, slush and ice. Its tread is designed to grip black ice, and it is not designed to be studded.

Key Features:

• Dual V-shaped tread design for better grip and braking on snow and ice
• High-density multi-sipes and a sawtooth block shape for more biting edges on icy roads
• Four circumferential grooves plus two semi-grooves to move snow, slush and water out of the contact patch and reduce hydroplaning risk
• 3D tread blocks to help prevent irregular tread wear
• Stiff shoulder design for added durability and steady cornering
• Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) rated for severe snow service
• Directional tread pattern with radial construction and a black sidewall
• Cold-weather rubber compound that stays flexible in freezing temperatures

This tire is made for winter use. The compound is soft and will wear quickly if the tire is run in temperatures that stay above about 40°F. For best traction and handling, install a matched set and keep the tires properly inflated. Nexen has also offered a Total Coverage Warranty with roadside assistance on this line.
