Lennox Electric Heating Element

Lennox electric heating elements and electric heat kits add supplemental electric resistance heat to a compatible Lennox air handler or packaged unit. Technicians also know them as heat strips, electric heat sections or heater assemblies. Each one is an OEM Lennox accessory. Installers can use it to replace a failed heating section or to add electric heat to a matching system.

• Helix-wound nichrome elements: The elements sit directly in the air stream. This gives fast heat transfer, low element temperatures and long service life.
• Built-in safety controls: Limit controls with automatic reset help protect against excessive temperatures. Many models add a supplemental thermal cutoff as backup.
• Sequenced operation: On models with sequencer relays, the elements switch on and off in stages. This helps avoid a large sudden electrical load.
• Durable construction: Control boxes and access covers are typically made of heavy-gauge galvanized steel.
• Factory-assembled controls: Controls are installed and wired at the factory, and the low-voltage controls typically plug into the air handler. This simplifies installation.
