Motorad Ignition Knock Sensor

The Motorad Ignition Knock Sensor, also called a detonation sensor or engine knock sensor, helps the engine control module detect abnormal combustion. It picks up engine vibration and sends a signal to the engine computer. The computer can then adjust ignition timing to protect the engine and keep it running efficiently.

Key Features:

• Detects engine knock (detonation) and sends a signal to the engine control module
• Helps protect pistons, bearings and other internal engine components from damage caused by pre-ignition
• Supports smooth drivability, fuel economy and emissions performance
• Built as a direct replacement for the original sensor
• Made for dependable operation under under-hood heat, vibration and moisture

Motorad is a well-known supplier of aftermarket engine management and thermal components. A worn or failed knock sensor can cause a check engine light, reduced power, poor fuel economy, hesitation or rough running. Replacing it restores correct ignition timing control. Each sensor is listed under its own part number.
