Trane Electric Heat Kit for Air Handlers

The Trane electric heat kit, also called an air handler heat strip or electric heater kit, adds electric resistance heating to a compatible Trane air handler. It works with split-system heat pumps and air conditioners. It supplies supplemental or backup heat when outdoor temperatures drop, and it keeps indoor temperatures comfortable.

Key Features:

• Installs inside a compatible Trane air handler. It is not a standalone furnace.
• Many models include a built-in circuit breaker, so a separate dedicated breaker circuit isn't needed.
• Control and power wiring on breaker models connect the heater to the air handler with a single polarized plug, which simplifies installation.
• Offered across a range of kilowatt capacities for different heating needs.
• Built for single-phase 208/240V electrical systems.
• Designed to work with Trane air handler product lines in a variety of configurations.

Trane is a long-established name in residential and commercial HVAC. A genuine Trane heat kit is engineered to match its air handler, which supports dependable performance and clean integration with the rest of the system. Install it with the correct electrical setup and wire sizing, and follow the manufacturer's installation manual.
