Hella Xenon HID Ballast Control Unit

The Hella Xenon HID ballast control unit (also called an HID ballast, xenon ballast or headlight igniter/control module) is the electronic component that starts and regulates a xenon high intensity discharge headlight system. It converts the vehicle's low-voltage supply into the high-voltage pulse needed to ignite the xenon bulb. It then controls the power so the lamp burns steadily.

Key Features:

• Delivers the high-voltage ignition pulse that starts the HID bulb
• Regulates power to the lamp for stable, consistent light output after warm-up
• Helps provide the bright, white light that xenon HID systems are known for
• Built to meet automotive quality standards for electronic lighting components
• Designed as a direct replacement for the original control unit

Hella is a long-standing OE supplier of automotive lighting and electronics. It applies that experience to its HID components. A control unit in good working order helps restore reliable starting and steady light output. This matters when a headlight flickers, fails to ignite or cuts out.
