MB Quart Discus Shallow Mount Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer Speaker

The MB Quart Discus shallow mount subwoofer line is a series of dual voice coil car audio subwoofers (also called shallow-mount or slim subs). They are built for installs where mounting depth is limited. The shallow design gives you deep, punchy bass without using up much cargo space. That makes it a good fit for compact enclosures and tight spaces in cars, trucks, and other vehicles.

Key Features:

• Shallow-mount design: The low mounting depth suits sealed enclosures and space-limited installs.
• Dual voice coil (DVC) 4-ohm configuration: It gives you flexible wiring options when you match the sub to an amplifier.
• Vented aluminum voice coil former: The venting and aluminum construction help the coil handle heat, which supports thermal stability at higher output.
• Front and rear venting: This lets cooler air move through the voice coil gap.
• Lightweight, rigid cone: The cone is made of a thermally formed poly or woven fiber material, depending on the model, for accurate, clean bass response.
• Butyl or UV-resistant rubber surround: The surround resists sun fading and stays flexible for long-term durability.
• Heavy-gauge powder-coated steel basket: The basket gives the motor and moving parts a solid, corrosion-resistant base.

The Discus series comes from MB Quart, a long-established name in car audio. It is designed to give DIY installers and audio enthusiasts strong low-end performance in a slim package. Choose the child option that matches your power-handling, size, and enclosure needs.
