Hooker Super Competition Shorty Headers are ceramic coated exhaust headers. They are built as a high-performance, direct-fit replacement for restrictive factory exhaust manifolds. Hooker designed the shorty style to improve exhaust flow and scavenging while keeping the factory-style fit and routing.

Ceramic Coating Care: Ceramic coated headers need several heat cycles to cure fully. Hooker advises against breaking in a new engine with ceramic coated headers because it can damage the coating and void the warranty. Use cast iron manifolds or old headers during break-in. Hooker also does not recommend header wraps, which can trap heat and moisture and cause cracking or rust.
