Field Controls Barometric Draft Control for Oil Gas Solid Fuel

Field Controls barometric draft controls, also called draft regulators or barometric dampers, hold the draft in a heating appliance's venting system steady. Draft changes with outdoor temperature, barometric pressure and wind. The control adjusts automatically to offset those changes. That helps keep combustion consistent and fuel use efficient in oil, gas and solid fuel appliances.

Key Features:

• Automatic draft regulation: Counteracts changes in temperature, barometric pressure and wind to keep draft consistent.
• Multi-fuel applications: Field offers controls for oil, gas, solid fuel (coal or wood) and dual-fuel appliances. Single-acting designs suit oil and solid fuel. Double-acting designs suit gas-fired equipment.
• Low-friction gate design: In the M+MG2 series, the heavy-gauge gate pivots on a thin stainless steel knife edge. The edge rides on self-aligning, self-cleaning bearings, so the control responds sensitively to small draft changes.
• Field adjustable: Draft is fine-tuned on the job to suit the appliance and fuel.
• Rugged construction: Compact, heavy-duty designs for residential, commercial and industrial use.
• Power venter and draft inducer compatible: Works with power-vented and draft-induced systems, where a draft control helps stabilize airflow through the furnace, boiler or water heater.

Field Controls has made draft controls since founder Ted Field pioneered the barometric draft control in 1927. Field draft controls have long been supplied as original equipment on oil and gas boilers and furnaces. Choose the model and acting type that match your appliance and fuel, then select the variant you need.
