Landrum Springs Coil Over Barrel Spring Rate

Landrum Springs Coil Over Barrel Springs are performance coil-over springs (also called barrel springs or tapered coilover springs) built for racing and high-performance suspension setups. Long, high-travel coil-over springs tend to bow when compressed. The barrel shape of these springs is designed to prevent that.

Key Features:

• Barrel design: Spreads stress evenly along the spring. This gives lateral stability and reduces bending or bowing under compression.
• Protects the shock: Resists bowing, which keeps the spring from rubbing the shock body. That contact can damage the threads of the shock's adjusting perch.
• Consistent spring rate: A linear rate across the working range gives usable, predictable deflection. It also helps weight transfer stay controlled during cornering and acceleration.
• More travel before coil bind: The tapered shape allows extra spring travel.
• Strong, light materials: Made from high-tensile chrome silicon alloy steel. The tapered profile uses material efficiently and keeps weight down.
• Tight tolerances: Built for accurate rates, so you know what change you are making when you swap springs.
• Dyno-tested: Springs are cold-wound, heat-treated and stress-relieved for consistent results.
• Seating flexibility: Some sizes can be flipped to use the smaller end where the larger end will not fit.

The line comes in a range of lengths and spring rates. That lets racers and builders tune ride height, handling and weight transfer for circuit, oval track and other performance uses.
