Supco Silicon Nitride Hot Surface Furnace Igniter

The Supco Silicon Nitride Hot Surface Furnace Igniter is a replacement hot surface igniter (also called a furnace ignitor or glow bar) for gas furnaces. It heats up to ignite the gas burners at the start of each heating cycle, which helps restore reliable furnace startup.

Key Features:

• Silicon nitride heating element built for durable, repeatable heat cycling
• Heats quickly to ignition temperature for dependable burner lighting
• Replaces worn, cracked or failed hot surface igniters
• Available in multiple configurations with different mounting brackets, lead lengths and connectors
• Supco is a long-established supplier of HVAC/R replacement parts

Silicon nitride igniters are a common upgrade over older silicon carbide igniters. They are generally more resistant to breakage and operate at lower, more consistent current draw. This makes the igniter a practical fix for a furnace that fails to light, cycles repeatedly or shuts down without ignition. Choose the variant that matches your furnace's original igniter.
