Supco Flame Sensor for Hot Surface Ignition Systems

The Supco flame sensor (also called a flame rod or flame probe) is a replacement part for gas furnaces with hot surface ignition systems. It confirms that the burner has lit and keeps the gas valve open while the flame is present. If the sensor is dirty, worn or failing, the furnace can shut down shortly after ignition. Replacing it is a common fix for that problem.

Key Features:

• Replacement flame sensor for hot surface ignition furnace systems
• Detects the burner flame and sends the signal to the furnace control board
• Helps prevent unsafe operation by shutting off gas flow when no flame is detected
• Corrosion-resistant metal rod built for the heat inside a furnace burner compartment
• Available in multiple configurations to suit a range of furnace designs
• Made by Supco, a long-established supplier of HVAC/R replacement parts

Choose the child item that matches your furnace's original sensor. Installation is generally simple: shut off power and gas, remove the old sensor, and mount the new one in the same position.
