Dee Zee EZ Down Tailgate Assist Shock System

The Dee Zee EZ Down Tailgate Assist Shock System lets you lower your truck's tailgate in a smooth, controlled way. It stops the tailgate from dropping hard and slamming open. This tailgate damper (also called a tailgate assist shock or tailgate shock absorber) makes loading and unloading easier and safer, even with your hands full.

Key Features:

• Controls the drop rate of the tailgate and reduces the harsh slam when it opens
• Custom designed for each make and model for a precise fit
• Tested to handle heavy use over the life of the truck
• Works together with the factory tailgate cables and does not replace them
• No-drill installation that goes in within minutes using simple hand tools
• Mounting hardware included

A gas-damped shock like this helps reduce stress on the tailgate, hinges and cables, which can extend their service life. It also protects hands and fingers, including those of younger helpers. Dee Zee builds truck accessories in the USA, and the EZ Down line is a practical bolt-on upgrade for any truck owner who uses the tailgate often.
