Tow Rite Hydraulic Free Backing Drum Brake Assembly

The Tow Rite Hydraulic Free Backing Drum Brake Assembly line offers trailer brake assemblies for surge-type hydraulic brake systems, such as those used on boat trailers and utility trailers. Each assembly is a complete hydraulic drum brake (also called a hydraulic trailer brake or free-backing brake) with a corrosion-resistant coated backing plate. Assemblies are offered for the left-hand and right-hand sides of the axle.

Key Features:

• Free-backing design: The brake releases when the trailer is reversed, even with the surge actuator engaged. This helps you back up without the brakes locking.
• Hydraulic drum brake assembly: Built for use with surge-type hydraulic actuators.
• Corrosion-resistant coatings: The backing plates are coated to resist rust and corrosion. This helps them hold up in wet, road-salt and marine conditions.
• Left- and right-hand configurations: Choose the correct side for your axle.

Tow Rite hydraulic free-backing drum brakes suit trailer owners who want dependable stopping and easier reversing. Choose the matching assembly for your axle and side from the available options.
