Tow Rite Tapered Roller Bearing ID for Trailer Axles

Tow Rite tapered roller bearings are replacement trailer wheel bearings, also called trailer axle bearings or hub bearings. They are made for the spindles and hubs on boat, utility, snowmobile, RV and other trailers. They are available in several inner diameter (ID) sizes to match different axle and spindle configurations.

Key Features:

• Tapered roller design: The conical rollers and raceways carry both radial loads and axial (thrust) loads. This suits wheel hub use, where the bearing sees vertical weight and side loads in turns.
• Line contact: Tapered rollers contact the raceway along a line, not at a point as ball bearings do. This lets them carry heavier loads.
• Separable cone and cup: The cone assembly includes the inner ring, rollers and cage. It pairs with a matching cup (race), which is the outer ring.
• Sizes: The ID varies by item to match different trailer axle spindle sizes and capacities.

Match the bearing to the industry-standard number printed on the bearing and its race. Use a bearing with its matching race, repack it with quality wheel bearing grease, and replace the grease seal when you service the hub. Regular inspection and repacking help keep trailer wheel ends running reliably.
