DriveMotive Direct Injection High Pressure Fuel Pump

The DriveMotive Direct Injection High Pressure Fuel Pump (also called a GDI high-pressure fuel pump or HPFP) is a replacement part for gasoline direct injection engines. It takes fuel from the in-tank supply pump and raises it to the very high pressure the fuel rail and injectors need.

Key Features:

• Replacement high-pressure pump for direct injection fuel systems
• Mechanical design, typically driven by an engine camshaft lobe
• Works with the engine control module to meter fuel volume and keep rail pressure matched to engine demand
• Supports precise fuel delivery for efficient combustion, responsive acceleration and smooth running
• Offered in multiple part numbers to cover different engine applications

Why replace it: A worn or failing high-pressure fuel pump can cause hard starting, hesitation, rough idle, reduced power, misfires or low rail pressure codes. Fitting a new pump restores correct fuel pressure. Replace it with fresh engine oil and clean fuel-system components. Oil changes and clean fuel help protect the pump.
