Belimo ZoneTight Zone Valve Assembly with Non-Spring Return Actuator

The Belimo ZoneTight zone valve assembly pairs a compact ball-type zone control valve with a Belimo non-spring return actuator. It is built for terminal-unit and zone control in hydronic HVAC systems, such as radiant panels, duct coils and similar equipment. Search terms for this product line include zone valve, HVAC control valve, hydronic valve and valve actuator.

Key Features:

• Ball valve technology: The self-cleaning ball helps limit energy loss from clogging. It also avoids the seat-lift overflow that short-stroke globe valves can have.
• Tight shut-off: High close-off capability gives 0% leakage from A to AB, so no energy is lost to leakage.
• Efficient brushless DC motor: The patented brushless DC motor in the actuator runs at a maximum of 0.3 W. This saves energy and eases the load on transformer power.
• Non-spring return actuator: The valve stays in its last position when power is removed.
• Tool-free assembly: The valve and actuator snap together without tools. Cv and maximum flow can also be adjusted without tools.
• Compact design: The small footprint suits installation in space-restricted areas.
• Robust approvals: The actuators carry cULus listing and are UL 2043 compliant for use in air plenums.
• 5-year warranty: Belimo backs the line with a comprehensive 5-year warranty.

The ZoneTight line is available in pressure-dependent (QCV) and pressure-independent (PIQCV) designs. Belimo states that the valve-actuator combinations use up to 95% less current than conventional zone valves. That makes the line a good fit for building owners, contractors and system integrators who want reliable zone control with lower energy use and quicker installation.
