Continental ProContact GX XL Run Flat Tire

The Continental ProContact GX SSR is an all-season, run flat passenger tire. It is designed for luxury coupes and sedans that need a balance of comfort, handling and year-round traction. Continental built it with Self-Supporting Runflat (SSR) technology, so you can keep driving after a loss of air pressure.

Key Features:

• Self-Supporting Runflat (SSR) technology: lets you keep moving after a puncture or pressure loss, up to about 50 miles at reduced speeds under 50 mph.
• All-season performance: gives dependable grip and traction in wet and dry conditions throughout the year.
• Wet braking: the tread is designed to evacuate water well and to brake strongly on wet roads.
• Handling and stability: improved siping in the tread blocks interlocks for less tread squirm, which helps steering response and stability at speed.
• Low road noise: the tread pattern is tuned to keep noise levels low for a quiet, comfortable ride.
• Fuel efficiency: reduced rolling resistance helps improve efficiency.

Run flat tires are generally recommended for vehicles that were originally equipped with them and that have a tire pressure monitoring system. Continental is a well-known OE tire manufacturer. The ProContact GX SSR gives drivers a premium touring tire with the added security of run flat mobility.
