Cusco High Pressure Radiator Cap

The Cusco High Pressure Radiator Cap raises the boiling point of your engine coolant. This improves cooling efficiency and helps prevent overheating. It is a direct-replacement performance radiator cap for street, spirited driving and track use.

Key Features:

• Reinforced main pressure valve spring raises the pressure inside the cooling system
• Silicone seals hold pressure reliably
• 1.3 bar (1.3 kg/cm²) opening pressure at zero atmospheric pressure
• Road-surface atmospheric pressure of about 1.0 kg/cm² adds to this, for an effective pressure of about 2.3 kg/cm²
• Raises the coolant boiling point to approximately 126.5°C (260°F)
• Metal construction with rubber seals

Coolant that boils forms small air pockets. As coolant passes through the block and radiator core, these pockets reduce heat transfer and can lead to overheating. A higher system pressure helps keep the coolant from boiling. That gives the engine more thermal stability under demanding conditions.

Cusco is a well-known Japanese performance parts manufacturer. This cap installs in place of the factory radiator cap, with no modifications needed.
