Cloyes Cam Sprocket

The Cloyes cam sprocket (also called a camshaft sprocket or timing gear) is a replacement engine timing component. It drives the camshaft from the crankshaft through the timing chain or belt, and it keeps valve timing accurate. Cloyes is a well-known name in engine timing components, and its products are used for stock rebuilds, performance builds, and routine maintenance.

Key Features:

• Precision-machined tooth profile for smooth, quiet engagement with the timing chain or belt
• Accurate keyway and bolt-hole alignment to help maintain correct camshaft timing
• Durable construction to resist wear under continuous engine load
• Designed as a direct replacement for worn or damaged timing sprockets
• Works with Cloyes timing chains and timing sets as part of a complete timing system

Benefits:

• Helps restore proper valve timing and engine performance
• Reduces the risk of chain wear, noise, and timing slop caused by worn sprockets
• Replacing the sprocket along with the chain and crank sprocket is recommended for a reliable, long-lasting repair
