Motorcraft Evaporator Expansion Valve Assembly

The Motorcraft Evaporator Expansion Valve Assembly, also called an A/C expansion valve or thermal expansion valve (TXV), meters refrigerant into the evaporator in your vehicle's air conditioning system. Motorcraft is Ford Motor Company's factory-original parts brand. It is designed to restore cooling performance and keep the A/C system running efficiently.

Key Features:

• Regulates refrigerant flow into the evaporator core to help maintain consistent cabin cooling
• Helps the A/C system run efficiently across changing temperatures and loads
• Engineered to meet Ford original-equipment specifications for fit and function
• Supplied as an assembly for straightforward replacement
• Backed by the Motorcraft brand's reputation for quality and durability

A failing expansion valve can cause weak cooling, uneven vent temperatures, or evaporator icing. Replacing it with a Motorcraft valve helps restore proper A/C operation. Whenever the refrigerant circuit is opened, professional A/C service is recommended. That service includes recovering the refrigerant, replacing the receiver/drier or accumulator, evacuating the system, and recharging it to the correct specification.
