ACDelco Professional Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

The ACDelco Professional Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (also called an ECT sensor, coolant temp sensor, or water temperature sensor) monitors engine coolant temperature and sends that data to the engine control module. The ECM uses the signal to manage fuel delivery, ignition timing, idle speed, cooling fan operation, and temperature gauge or warning light readings.

Key Features:

• Professional-grade replacement sensor from ACDelco, a brand with a long history as a supplier of GM original equipment parts and aftermarket parts
• Gives the engine computer accurate coolant temperature readings for efficient fuel and emissions control
• Built to hold up under the heat, vibration, and coolant exposure of an engine bay
• Helps restore smooth starting, stable idle, and dependable cooling system operation
• Direct-fit replacement that is designed to work with the factory wiring and connector

A failing coolant temperature sensor can cause hard starting, poor fuel economy, rough idle, black exhaust smoke, a false temperature reading, or a Check Engine Light. Replacing it with a quality ACDelco Professional sensor helps bring engine management and cooling system monitoring back to normal.
