Dorman Remanufactured Transmission Control Module

The Dorman Remanufactured Transmission Control Module (TCM), also called a transmission control unit (TCU) or automatic transmission computer, manages shifting in an automatic transmission. It reads input from vehicle sensors and uses that data to control shift timing, shift quality and torque converter operation. A failing module can cause harsh or delayed shifts, erratic gear selection, limp mode or a transmission warning light. Replacing it can restore normal transmission operation.

Key Features:

• Remanufactured to restore the module to working condition
• Replaces the original automatic transmission control module
• Designed to restore proper shift timing and transmission performance
• Helps resolve shifting problems caused by a failed or malfunctioning control module
• Backed by Dorman, a long-established supplier of aftermarket automotive replacement parts

Remanufacturing reuses the original core and brings the module back to working specification. This is a practical alternative to a new part. Select the specific part number from the options on this page. Each one is a Dorman remanufactured transmission control module.
