Dorman Engine Coolant Reservoir Tank

The Dorman engine coolant reservoir tank, also called a coolant overflow tank, coolant expansion tank or antifreeze recovery bottle, is a replacement part for the cooling system. It holds coolant that expands as the engine heats up. It then returns that coolant to the system as the engine cools. This helps keep coolant levels stable and supports consistent engine temperatures.

Key Features:

• Replaces a cracked, leaking, stained or discolored reservoir
• Made from durable molded plastic designed to withstand underhood heat, pressure cycling and exposure to coolant
• Molded to match the original design so it installs with the factory mounting points and hose connections
• Helps prevent coolant loss and overheating caused by a failed tank
• Dorman develops its replacement parts to meet the needs of both professional technicians and DIY installers

Plastic reservoirs can become brittle and crack as they age, so replacing one is a common repair. A new reservoir restores proper coolant capacity and recovery. It also helps protect the engine from damage caused by low coolant. Dorman is a well-known supplier of aftermarket replacement parts, including many items that are hard to find elsewhere.
