Motorad Ignition Knock Detonation Sensor with Hardware

The Motorad ignition knock sensor (also called a detonation sensor) helps your engine management system detect abnormal combustion, or engine knock. The sensor monitors vibration in the engine block. It sends a signal to the engine control module (ECM), which can adjust ignition timing to protect the engine and keep it running efficiently.

Key Features:

• Replacement knock sensor that detects detonation and pre-ignition vibrations
• Supplied with mounting hardware for installation
• Helps the ECM adjust ignition timing for smooth, efficient operation
• Designed to restore proper engine performance and fuel economy when the original sensor has failed
• Backed by Motorad's reputation for engine management and thermal components

Why Replace a Knock Sensor: A worn or failing knock sensor can cause a check engine light, reduced power, poor fuel economy, hesitation, or audible engine knock. Replacing it restores accurate detonation detection and helps protect internal engine components.
