Trane Electric Heater Assembly with Circuit Breaker

The Trane Electric Heater Assembly with Circuit Breaker is a supplementary electric heat kit, also called a heat strip or heater element assembly. It installs inside a compatible Trane air handler to provide auxiliary or backup heat for a split-system heat pump or air conditioner. The built-in circuit breaker gives service personnel an electrical disconnect at the heater.

Per Trane's installer guidance, the circuit breakers in these kits do not replace branch circuit overcurrent protection, so size and protect the branch circuit according to the unit nameplate.
